Renewable Energy in Brazil

Within the field of the "Energy Market" the global figures and the easily traceable analysis, allow to notice the current and future requirements of the "Emerging Markets", pointing out the forthcoming occasions with timeliness. In detail, Brazil for many years is considered the main "Emerging Market" of South and Centre America, as well as the second one after China. The growth process of Brazil does not stop, it is not destined to slow down in the next 20/30 years, it is moving at a fast pace that cannot be imagined under an European point of view in the second millennium; only with suitable acquaintances and being present on the territory you can observe, catch and verify certain dynamics.

To best realize it is useful to give some historical hints that are interwoven with what is currently happening, thus enabling us to get a more detailed view.

Throughout the last forty years Brazil has deeply changed the structure of the sources from which comes their own primary energy production, going through an intense usage of timber, in particular in the decade of the seventies, to a greater diversification that, anyway, in this last twenty-year period marks the predominance of oil and of the products deriving from sugarcane.

The origin of such a change in the Brazilian energy productive source is detectable in the period of the military dictatorship (1964-1985) when it was progressively activated a strategy aimed both at protecting the "Country" from the Energy shocks of the Seventies and also to support the growth in the industrial field, identified as leading sector for the Brazilian economic development.

Throughout the Nineties, then, the energy field has been crossed by deep reforms and privatizations that, in parallel with important investments, have had the main aim in making more efficient and competitive the sector itself.

The policies of strategic planning have allowed Brazil to take a leading role in the world energy scenario, thanks also to some factors, such as the development of the agro-fuel industry, the growth of the technological ability and also the rise of the reserves and of the productions of hydrocarbons.

The Government reckoned a demographic growth of about 35% distributed in the next decade: such an event will make the current energy necessities double. This is one of the reasons that pushed the "Country" to start an important structural plan, already started in 2010.

The “Gross Domestic Product” (GDP or PIL) and so the domestic consumptions of the Country grow in the same percentage of those occurred in the United States in the Thirties’ and with it every requirement that naturally causes a constant and exponential increase of the energy needs. The future of the Country is somehow already arranged. The development perspective of “GDP or PIL” for next 5/7 years (until 2018-20) is included between 4% and 6% per year, second only after China. If compared to China Brazil benefits from an average wages situation well established. Such an element allows the Country to boast certainties about the composition of the fabric of the society. There won’t be any risks of fluctuations of the consumptions, that due to the gradient of satisfaction of the welfare and the capacity of buying always in constant growth determines stability. These real easy elements and not fluctuating data allow to formulate reliable statistics.

By now, 2013, Brazil purchases about 40% electric from other Countries and in any case without satisfying the real need of energy.

Within the “Energy Market” the "Country" stated that it invented reverse its own position. As evidence of it, in a short period Brazil passed laws and attached incentives that will enable to achieve the outcome (if you contact us and ask for specific information). The programmes expect that in short time the demand for domestic requirements will be successfully supplied, while in the medium-run the aim is to line up the requirements proportionally by selling again the energy in excess. The consolidation of the results throughout the time is the arranged aim on the long run.

Confident of its huge extension not yet built up, of the climate, of the favourable meteorology, of the enormous water resources, as well as of its longitudinal and latitudinal extension, the "Country" may solve the energy issues (current and future needs and also the future trade) by using several eco-compatible technologies also called “green energies”, thus getting rid of nuclear and petro-chemical alternatives.

Given that Bright Business Consulting LLP does not work in the field of "Renewable Energies" in the first person, but is involved in this area through consolidated and calcified  in the "PEE Project", useful to the accompaniment of the companies involved in this market. However in this scenario the analysis through a "Consulting for Company Investigation & Commercial Information" is a right advice, especially for businesses that want to operate in the field of "Renewable Energies" by selling equipment and/or related accessories.
